Bogotá isn’t a city… it’s a giant fruit
The moment Bogotá stopped being “just a city”
Bogota exotic fruits, I thought Bogotá was just a big city… until I realized it was basically a fruit.
I was on a walking tour when the guide said Bogotá has enough fruits for you to eat a different one every day of the year without repeating. I thought she was joking… until we entered La Concordia market.
Lulo, feijoa, gulupa, cherimoya… every day something new.
And the craziest part?
Some of them grow on the streets, with no owner, just waiting to be found.
That’s when I realized Bogotá isn’t a city…
it’s a giant fruit disguised as a capital.
Bogota exotic fruits: La Concordia Market — the place that blew my mind
Every aisle is a universe:
- fruits you’ve never seen
- impossible colors
- aromas that feel invented
- flavors that change your life
Colombia isn’t tropical.
Colombia is supernatural.
The fruits that make Bogotá Bogotá
- Lulo: sour, refreshing, addictive
- Feijoa: love it or hate it
- Gulupa: the elegant cousin of passion fruit
- Cherimoya: the fruit that should be a national treasure
And yes:
some grow on the streets like free snacks from the city.
